Jae Bennett
"Capturing the absurdity of living and loving on canvas."
Fine artist from Glasgow, working on canvas with mixed media and gallery installations. Jae introduced his Man and Woman series in 2001 at the Zoller Gallery. Since then the sallow and absurd world of emaciated bodies, blank faces, and lost love has solidified into a life long and continuing work.
Aside from personal and private gallery work, Jae has designed logos, tee shirts, album covers, as well as taking private portrait and landscape commissions.
Outside the studio Jae can be found climbing across the country and bumming around the local crags, trail running at Glendale Lake and Lost Mountain, working on trails in the Allegheny National Forest, running ultra-marathons in the fall, and working on his property high on the Allegheny Front.
